The Georgia Institute of Technology, more commonly known as Georgia Tech, is a public university in Atlanta, Georgia. The school has over 20,000 students and is known for its highly rated engineering programs and high academic standards. Textbooks are an important part of the courses offered at the school. A few bookstores supply both new and used materials for Georgia Tech students and faculty. The following is information about those stores:

The Barnes & Noble at Georgia Tech is the official campus bookstore for Georgia Tech students. A one-stop shop for everything Tech, it is located at 48 Fifth Street NW in Technology Square in the heart of campus. Students can visit the store’s website and enter their course information to find exactly which books and materials they need for their specific classes. This ensures that students get the correct editions of their textbooks so that they are prepared when they walk into class on the first day of the semester. The store also sells a large selection of apparel for Yellow Jackets fans, including hats, t-shirts, tailgating supplies and other game-day accessories with Buzz, the school’s official mascot. Other school supplies such as notebooks, calculators, and backpacks are available. Most items are also sold online. Another cool opportunity for students who shop at the store is that they can receive special offers on products from companies that have partnered with the bookstore.

The Engineer’s Bookstore considers itself the most comprehensive technical bookstore in the southeastern United States. It has gained this reputation since it opened in 1954. The Atlanta-based bookstore at 748 Marietta St. NW also serves Georgia Tech students and is an alternative to the official campus bookstore. If you are an engineering student at the school, this is the place for you. Engineer’s Bookstore offers buyback on textbooks to Georgia Tech students who present a student ID. Even if your books were purchased elsewhere, the store will buy them for a reasonable price.

There may not be a ton of bookstore options for Georgia Tech students, but these two stores offer almost everything students could ask for. Plus they are conveniently located and within walking distance for most students.
