Wake Forest University is a private university just north of downtown Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The school was founded in 1834 and only has about 7,000 students on its 340-acre campus. The flagship Wake Forest campus is known as the Reynolda campus. Academia is the major part of Wake Forest University with some of the highest academic standards. Because of this, college textbooks are very important for students to use to succeed in their rigorous courses. Here is some information on where to find textbooks on and around the Wake Forest campus:
Textbooks is the main place to go on campus to purchase student textbooks at Wake Forest. It is located in the Taylor Hall building on campus beneath The Bookstore. The textbook store specializes in all course materials for students, which includes new, used, and rental textbooks, in addition to study materials and digital versions of books, if available. The school makes it easy for students to find which books they need via the store’s website. Once students are registered for classes, they can log on to the site and get a booklist for each of their classes. Books can also be ordered online.
The Bookstore is a separate place on campus that sells books. It is a very unique setting in that it has a fireplace to make students feel like they’re at home there. Just steps away from Wait Chapel. The Bookstore is a popular place for Wake Forest students and is conveniently located on Hearn Plaza on the first floor of the Taylor House building. Self-service Starbucks coffee and tea are also available, in addition to refreshments and snacks. It has a nice selection of books, gifts, school supplies, greeting cards, balloons, and a cool ink cartridge refilling system to use if your printer ink cartridges run dry when you really need to print a term paper,
Storyteller’s Book Store is at 100 East Roosevelt Avenue in the city of Wake Forest. This is a different kind of bookstore. It offers books of all kinds, including some textbooks. But it is a place for storytellers of all ages and educational levels to gather. If you are looking for a neat store away from campus with special events and author presentations, Storyteller’s Book Store is just for you. Buy a book and relax here.
Barnes & Noble has been an established bookseller for years. Luckily for Wake Forest students, there is a B&N location right in Winston-Salem. It’s at 1925 Hampton Inn Court at the intersection of Hanes Mall Boulevard and Stratford Road. Open seven days a week, you can find just about anything at this store. If you’re looking for textbooks or any other reading materials of interest to both college students and the general public, B&N has what you need. They also offer the Nook, which allows you to read e-Books more easily and conveniently – a great option for college students whose textbooks come in this format.
