Marshall University is a public research institution of higher education based in Huntington, West Virginia. Founded in 1837, the school currently has a student body of over 13,000 students. Marshall’s sports teams are called the Thundering Herd. When it comes to textbooks, Marshall students have a couple places to check for books. Here is some information on each of those bookstores:

The Marshall University Bookstore at 1 John Marshall Drive is the main campus textbook provider for Marshall students. Located in the center of campus, the store is in a convenient spot for all students who can easily get in, get what they need, and get on with their studies. This store has a broad selection of new and used books and options to rent books as well. The store also has lots of digital textbooks available, and Marshall students have the ability to save some money by buying these electronic versions. All you have to do is go to their site, put in your information, and your entire list of course books and materials will be displayed. There are also lots of graduation items available as well as classroom and dorm supplies. As a Marshall student, you can get nice discounts on computer software also.

Stadium Bookstore is a nice locally owned and operated bookstore that has served Marshall students and staff with quality items and great prices since 1967. The store sells textbooks that are both brand new and gently used. Stadium Bookstore buys books from students that are used, and you should be able to get some of the lowest prices on buybacks at this store. They have a complete graduation center for students who are ready to don their cap and gown in the near future. There are also lots of other items in stock, including discounted software, Marshall athletic apparel, and more. The great thing about this bookstore is that you can purchase every item online and have it shipped to you.

Empire Books & News at 30 Pullman Square is a well-rated independent and locally owned bookseller in downtown Huntington. The store offers 20% discounts to Marshall University students, faculty, and staff, which means you will automatically get cheaper items if you’re an MU student. They sell all kinds of books in various genres along with lots of news items. Although they sell general books, you will find plenty of academic books here plus school supplies. The store is open seven days a week for your convenience.
