Miami University, sometimes called Miami of Ohio, is a large public research university in Oxford, Ohio, and should not be confused with the University of Miami in Florida. The DuBois Book Store is a fantastic off-campus bookstore worth checking out. Serving Miami students, faculty, and alumni since 1945, the store has a great reputation for offering low prices on all of its items. The store is located at 118 East High Street in Oxford. They offer new and used books along with options to reserve books to avoid the mad rush. Plus you can rent books and save up to 50% off the regular book price. Other items on sale include graduation items, clothing, and gift cards. They are open seven days a week and are even open late most Sunday nights.
Half Price Books at 3185 Princeton Road in nearby Hamilton is only about a 20-minute drive from campus. It’s really worth visiting because of their large selection of pre-owned books. Plus they sell lots of other general books as well as music and other merchandise. Overall, their inventory is vastly reduced in price compared to other stores.
