West Virginia University, sometimes abbreviated as WVU, is a major public institution of higher education based in Morgantown, West Virginia. Founded in 1867, the school currently has an annual enrollment of about 30,000. Most of these students are enrolled in undergraduate programs. The athletic teams at West Virginia are called the Mountaineers. West Virginia students know the importance of shopping around to find good deals on textbooks. The following stores have the best deals and selections on campus and in the Morgantown area:

The West Virginia University Bookstore is the official textbook outlet at the school. Located in the heart of campus, this store is stocked with every textbook and course supplement that students need or are recommended to have for their courses. You can purchase your textbooks new or used. You can also rent your textbooks and save up to 50% off the regular list price. In addition, there are thousands of books available in a digital format, and you can save up to 60% when going digital. This bookstore sells all kinds of Mountaineers gear and clothing for fans of all ages. You will also find an exclusive line of Nike apparel as well as lots of computer hardware and software at educational discounts. The store primarily specializes in HP products when it comes to technology. Finally, the store partners with other local retailers to offer even more savings on various items.

The Book Exchange has served West Virginia students as an off-campus bookstore since 1934. This store has a tremendous reputation for having some of the lowest prices on textbooks. The Book Exchange is located at 152 Willey Street and is convenient to get to from campus. There is second location at 342 Patteson Drive in Morgantown as well. When shopping here, you can save over 50% on both new and used textbooks. You can also reserve textbooks to make sure you get the cheapest possible textbooks prior to the mad rush by everyone else. The store’s name is also correct in implying that you can “exchange” your old textbooks for new ones. There may be an additional fee required depending on how well the prices even out, but it won’t be much. This store is a major support of Mountaineers athletics, so you can buy almost anything with the WVU logo on it here.

BookHolders is also a good place to shop for and rent cheap textbooks. It is in downtown Morgantown right near campus at 1370 University Avenue. This store has fantastic low prices on textbooks for sale. Plus you can rent textbooks and save a bundle of money that way. The store buys back books at great prices and also has a program called the Awesome Advantage. This online service allows students at West Virginia to sell their books online, which increases the number of potential buyers. The store is open Monday through Saturday.
