The University of South Florida (USF) is a major public university with its main campus located in Tampa, Florida. The school is a bit newer as it was founded in 1956 and currently enrolls over 47,000 students. USF’s athletic teams are called the Bulls and compete in the Big East conference. Students at USF have some options as far as where to buy their textbooks. The following bookstores are the best places to check on campus and in the Tampa area:

The University of South Florida Tampa Bookstore is the official campus textbook outlet serving USF students and faculty. It is housed in the heart of campus. The bookstore sells new, used, and digital textbooks. You can also find a huge selection of rental books, and this is one of the best ways to save money. The store also offers technology items at great prices, so if you need a new version of Microsoft Office or a new laptop, definitely get it from this store because you will save a lot on it. The store has an add/drop policy to ensure students get the opportunity to return books should they drop any of their classes early in the semester. Bulls gear, graduation supplies, and alumni merchandise are also available at this bookstore.

Gray’s College Bookstore is a great off-campus outlet for textbooks. Conveniently located at 2836 East Fletcher Avenue, Gray’s is fully stocked with textbooks at very reasonable prices.  The store specializes in used textbooks, which are sold at very low prices. If the store does not carry your books in a used condition, you can buy them new, and these new books tend to be cheaper as well. You can pre-order textbooks to ensure you get the ones you need before classes start. The store also sells USF Bulls apparel and clothing. Most items are available online.

Book Swap at 13144 North Dale Mabry Highway is another fantastic bookstore to look for textbooks. This store carries more used books, and its inventory includes a wide selection of textbooks for USF students. You can also rent textbooks and save up to 80% off the new price or “swap” your old textbooks for new ones. In addition, the store sells lots of general titles and novels for leisure reading, including audio books. Book Swap is open seven days a week and offers an exclusive online special where you can sign up for the store’s newsletter and receive a free book.

Finally, check out Books & More at 1441 East Fletcher Avenue. It’s only a short drive from the USF campus. Books & More is a privately owned and operated independent bookstore serving USF students. The store offers excellent prices on new and used textbooks. You will also get convenient counter service when shopping here so you can get in, get out, and get on with your studies. The store’s shelves are stocked with thousands of books for students in all majors.
