Georgia State University (GSU) is a large research university in Atlanta, Georgia. The school was founded in 1913 and shares the city of Atlanta with Georgia. The athletic teams at Georgia State are known as the Panthers, and the official school colors are blue and white. The university currently enrolls about 30,000 students per academic year. When it comes to textbooks, GSU students have some choices on where to purchase them both on campus and around the Atlanta metro area. The following bookstores are some of the best places to shop for books:

The official campus bookstore is called the Georgia State Bookstore. It is located at 66 Courtland Street Southeast. Open Monday through Friday with long hours to accommodate the needs of the school’s students, this store is fully stocked with all of the textbooks and course materials that students need to be successful in each and every class they take. This includes new, used, rental, and digital textbooks. If you’re really trying to save some money, you should look into the rental and digital books available here. You can also sell back many of your used books for a decent rate right on the spot. Plus you can purchase technology items like software and hardware at educational discounts. In addition, the store is packed with all kinds of GSU Panthers gear, including hats, t-shirts, hoodies, ties, and even socks. Other school supplies are also available.

The Georgia Bookstore at 124 Edgewater Avenue Northeast is a fantastic off-campus bookstore in downtown Atlanta just blocks from the Georgia State campus. It’s a popular destination for students attending all institutions in the Atlanta region. This bookstore has a huge selection of used books and rental books. Plus you can sell back practically any textbook to the store. Many students say that if this store won’t buy back your books, nobody else in town will, either. The staff is very helpful and knows exactly what is important to students – saving money. To find out if your books are in stock, call the Georgia Bookstore at 404-659-0959.

Park Place Bookstore at 22 Park Place South SE is another excellent off-campus bookstore serving the GSU community. With a name that sounds like a spot on the Monopoly board game, this place is actually kind of fun to visit. You can buy tons of discounted textbooks at great prices, and this selection encompasses a good number of used textbooks. Even the prices on new books here are quite reasonable. In addition, the store sells some computer software at discounted prices along with school supplies, general books, and has the current bestsellers on its shelves. Call the store at 404-525-5100 for more information. There is also a phone app you can download to get coupons for the store. Check out CampusSpecial.com for details.
