Hampton University is a private university in Hampton, Virginia. Founded originally in 1868, it is an historically black and Native American university that currently enrolls about 5,000 students. Hampton has a number of athletic teams that compete in the MEAC. The teams are called the Pirates. The school’s official colors are blue and white. Barnes & Noble has a terrific reputation for carrying lots of textbooks as well as the Nook e-reader. You will find both of those here. Although many of the books are brand new, it is still a bit easier to shop here during peak times of the semester when everyone is flooding the campus bookstore. The Nook allows you to read your digital textbooks wherever you are. So even if your books aren’t in stock, you should check out the Nook. There is a B&N in downtown Hampton at 5100 Kilgore Avenue.
