Murray State University is a public university located in Murray, Kentucky. The school first opened in 1922 and has been considered by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top non-doctoral universities in the state. The university enrolls about 10,000 students each academic year. Its athletic teams are called the Racers and compete in the Ohio Valley Conference. Murray State students have a few options on where to buy their college textbooks. Here are some of the best places to shop for books:
The primary textbook outlet at Murray State is the University Store. Located at 201 Curris Center on the second floor of the Curris Center, the University Store is your source for all of your MSU textbooks and merchandise. This means you can be assured that you are getting the appropriate books and materials when you shop here. Books are available new, used, and for rent. When you rent books here, you will enjoy great savings. More and more books are being made available for rent, so be sure to check your booklist and ask one of the associates if any of yours can be rented rather than purchased. But if you prefer buying your books, you can do just that by getting new and used copies of them. One cool feature on the store’s website is an e-mail newsletter that you should sign up for to receive updates and special offers on in-store purchases. Unlike other stores, this bookstore is open seven days a week and has special hours during peak times throughout the semester. Along with buying books here, you can sell them back to the store once you are finished with them. Greek items, graduation supplies, reference books, and other classroom supplies are among the many other products for sale at this bookstore. Or if you’re looking for a nice leisure novel, you can pick one of those up here, too.
A great off-campus textbook outlet is Bradley Book Company. It’s in Murray and is only a short drive from campus. The street address is 1303 Chestnut Street. Bradley Book Company serves several colleges and universities throughout the state of Kentucky. The friendly associates at this bookstore will do their best to help you save money on all of your books and course materials. Just bring in your list of books and someone will assist you in finding them and suggesting options on either purchasing them or renting them so that you can walk away with money left in your pocket. The store has a great buyback program year-round and will buy your used books even if you got them somewhere else. You can get a free quote on any book by calling 1-888-266-5040.
