Butler University is a private institution of higher education located in Indianapolis, Indiana. The school opened in 1855 and currently sits on a 290-acre urban campus with a student population of about 5,000. Most students at Butler are enrolled in undergraduate academic programs. The school’s athletic teams are known as the Bulldogs, and the basketball team recently had an unprecedented run at a national championship. Butler students can choose from the following options when buying the textbooks for their classes:

The Butler Bookstore, located in the heart of campus at 704 West Hampton Drive, is the official textbook outlet at the university. This bookstore has a comprehensive inventory of all the items students need to succeed. Open every single day of the week, the Butler Bookstore offers new, used, rental, and digital textbooks to students of all academic majors. When you shop here, you can be guaranteed to be receiving the correct versions of all the course materials necessary for your courses. Most textbooks and other items can be ordered online as well if you can’t make it in to the store. Additionally, the bookstore has a very reasonable return policy and buyback rates on used textbooks as well. Other items on the shelves here include Bulldogs apparel and gear, discounted technology items, general books, a special health science books section, graduation supplies, and school supplies like folders, binders, and backpacks to carry all of your stuff in when you’re on campus. Make sure you sign up for the store’s free e-mail newsletter to receive special offers and discounts on various items.

Half Price Books has two locations in Indianapolis near the Butler campus. One is at 1551 86th Street West, and the other is at 4709 82nd Street. At HPB, you will find a huge selection of discounted books, and the inventory here includes lots of used academic textbooks. The name of the store says it all because many of the books are literally “half price.” Plus you can sell your used textbooks to the store to reclaim some of the cash you spent on them in the first place. Along with textbooks, HPB sells a wide range of other general books and items that might appeal to college students. Shop online for even more of a selection.

Finally, check out Barnes & Noble at 3748 62nd Street in downtown Indy for even more options on books. There are a number of textbooks available here that are regularly used in first-year classes at Butler and other local colleges. Plus you can find the popular Nook e-reader here, which is an awesome tool for college students who use digital textbooks. Shop on B&N’s website for a huge selection of textbooks as well.
