Fordham University is a private research university with three campuses located in and around the New York City area of New York. Fordham was originally founded in 1841 and currently enrolls over 15,000 students each academic year. In addition, the school employs about 700 full-time academic faculty members. Fordham has 23 varsity athletic teams known as the Old Maroon. Fordham students can choose from the following options when purchasing their textbooks and other course materials:

The Fordham University Bookstore on the school’s Rose Hill campus is the primary outlet for textbooks at the school. It’s located at 441 East Fordham Road. This store has several options on textbooks. You can buy new books, used books for savings of up to 25% off, rentals for up to half off, and digital e-textbooks for savings of over 60%. To obtain your booklist, simply enter your course information on the store’s website or bring your class schedule in to the bookstore for assistance.

There are also lots of other college-related items available here. These include school supplies like backpacks, pens, pencils, and notebooks. They also include graduation supplies, general books like novels and bestsellers, technology items offered at discounted prices, and even student offers available at the store for other retailers in the New York City area. The nice thing about this bookstore is that you can order most of the items online that are sold in-store.

In nearby Manhattan, check out Manhattan Books at 150 Chambers Street. It’s only about 15 minutes away from Fordham’s Rose Hill campus. When you shop here, you can purchase and rent lots of textbooks. These include both new and used textbooks. Plus you can sell back all of your used textbooks to recoup some of the cash you spent on them – and to make room for your new course materials in your dorm room. Art supplies, e-books, and school supplies are just a few of the other things you can pick up here along with your books. Be sure to check out the bookstore’s website to get special discounts and offers. As you can tell, Manhattan Books is a very student-friendly store.

Barnes & Noble at 2289 Broadway Street in downtown New York City is another good option for academic books and supplies. This B&N store carries a variety of textbooks for students in the NYC area. It also sells the popular Nook e-reader, which students can use to read their digital e-textbooks wherever they are – in their dorm rooms, in the classroom, in the library, or even in the coffee shop. The B&N website has a much larger selection of college textbooks, too.
