The University of San Diego is a private Roman Catholic institution of higher education based in San Diego, California. The university was founded in 1949 and today offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate academic programs. More than 8,300 students attend the university. Its athletic teams are known as the Toreros, and the mascot is Diego Torero. USD students have the following options when it comes to buying their textbooks and course supplies:

The official campus bookstore at the school is called the University of San Diego Torero Store. It is located in the heart of the campus at 5998 Alcala Park. Open Monday through Saturday most weeks throughout each semester, this bookstore carries all of the required and recommended materials on students’ booklists for all majors at the school. To find the books you need, simply bring in a copy of your class schedule to the store or enter your class information on its website. Textbook options include new books, used books, and e-textbooks that can be downloaded online. Students are able to sell back their used textbooks and also receive a full refund on course materials purchased at the store if they are returned prior to the add/drop deadline. Technology items for sale included discounted Apple products and even discounted AT&T data plans for students at the school. Graduation supplies, Toreros team gear, novels, bestsellers, and typical school supplies are all available here. Most items in the store can be bought online through the bookstore’s website.

KB Books is one of the most popular off-campus textbook outlets in San Diego. With three locations at 7612 Linda Vista Road, 5191 College Avenue, and 1045 14th Street, KB Books has served college students in the San Diego area since 1984. The store sells textbooks and offers lots of them for rent. The used books sold here are priced so low that it’ll be hard to find better prices for them – even online. There’s also a very fair and reasonable buyback program that lets students recoup some of the money they spent on their books when they were new. The store works with student organizations at local colleges and universities to offer even more discounts. The great thing about this store is that it offers real testimonials from student shoppers on why they love shopping at the store and how much money they save.

A unique mobile textbook store concept has hit the San Diego area. It’s called Westcoast Textbooks. This company is based at a location at 5433 Linda Vista Street but also travels around the area buying and selling college textbooks. It’s a fairly new company and a convenient concept for students who are always on the go. Sell your used textbooks to them and get a nice amount of cash right on the spot. Give them a call at 650-678-5083 for more information.

The Better Bookstore is another great option for textbooks. Located near Westcoast Textbooks at 5433 Linda Vista Street, Suite C, this store is operated by a small group of University of San Diego alumni. These former students know how difficult textbook shopping can be and how tight the budgets of college students really are. That is why they opened this store. You can either buy or rent your textbooks here. You can also sell your used books to the store for great rates. Search the store’s inventory online before making a trip to the store to find out if your items are in stock. Be sure to sign up for the free mailing list to get special offers and discounts.
