Western Carolina University is a large public university located in Cullowhee, North Carolina. City Lights Bookstore at 3 East Jackson Street in nearby Sylva, North Carolina is another option for books in the area. Located less than 15 minutes from the Western Carolina campus, this local bookstore carries a wide variety of books and reading materials on lots of different subjects. The store does not carry a ton of college textbooks, but you will find lots of books frequently used in freshmen-level courses at WCU such as English, literature, history, and science courses. The friendly staff members will assist you in getting the books you need regardless of whether they are in stock. Plus you can pick up other titles for leisure reading.
