Southeastern Louisiana University is a public institution of higher education based in Hammond, Louisiana. The university first opened its doors to students in 1925. Today it enrolls about 18,000 students, and most students are enrolled in undergraduate programs. Southern Louisiana’s athletic teams are called the Lions, and green and gold are the official school colors. Southeastern Louisiana students have the following options on where to purchase their textbooks:

The on-campus bookstore at Southeastern University is simply referred to as the University Bookstore. At the University Bookstore, you will find shelves packed with textbooks and other course materials for students of all academic disciplines. You can either buy or rent your books at the University Bookstore. Just enter your course info online or bring in your class schedule to find out what items you need. You can also purchase graduation supplies, school supplies like backpacks and notebooks, computer software at discounted prices, and tons of Lions apparel to show your school and team spirit. The store accepts all forms of payment, which includes the school-issued cards for students to put money on and make purchases with. Art supplies are also available. When you shop at the University Bookstore, you can rest assured that you’re getting the correct items you need to succeed.

There is a Books-A-Million location in Hammond Square at 325 Palace Drive. Books-A-Million literally sells millions of books on so many different subjects. This inventory includes several textbooks as well as books that are often used in undergraduate courses such as gen-ed classes like English, history, and foreign languages. The online selection that Books-A-Million offers is even better. You can pick up many of your textbooks through the store’s website at very reasonable prices. Plus you can have books only available online shipped to the store for easy pick-up. Check out some of the bestsellers and novels for leisure reading as well.

Since there aren’t a whole lot of textbook outlets in the Hammond area near the campus of Southeastern Louisiana University, be sure to shop for your books online if you can’t find them at these bookstores. Compare prices on your books using the price comparison tool on Textbooks.org. You’ll be able to find sites that both sell and rent college textbooks. The best way to save cash on books is by exploring all of your options and then determining which ones are the most affordable and appropriate for your specific needs.
